About Bwindi
Bwindi is located in the south-western part of Uganda 540km from Kampala and takes approximately 9hrs drive. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the places with the few remaining gorillas in the world.
Gorillas are special because their DNA is highly similar to that of a human, from 95â99% depending on what is counted, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the bonobo and common chimpanzees. Bwindi National Park covers an area of 321 square Kms and spreads across a series of steep ridges and valleys.
